Getting Started
PLANNING FORUM: Shippers Commonwealth offers a free Planning Forum program for qualified shippers interested in finding out more about its program. We will schedule a Planning Forum with your logistics, customer service, and IT team as a one (1) day structured session. This Planning Forum serves as a fact-finding session on your current shipping environment, and to identify improvement opportunities. From this session, a Needs Analysis Roadmap document will be prepared for your review.
At the same Planning Forum session, the Shippers Commonwealth team will present an overview of key capabilities within its Service Offering program. The confidential Needs Analysis for your organization will then be compared against our Service Offering capabilities to derive a Gap Analysis and high level Requirements Document for the proposed shipment automation and extended trading partner network program.
COMPUTER-BASED SAVINGS ANALYSES: Shippers Commonwealth can also provide you with benefits analyses using samples of your actual shipment data to identify, model and validate savings opportunities for load consolidation, pool distribution, and also evaluate optimal carrier selection and continuous move savings potential.
Our standard Logistics Operations Analysis ("LOA") program uses our transportation analysts and computer simulation models (Shippers Commonwealth and RedPrairie TMS suite tools) to provide you with a Savings Analysis and Business Case review, with a standard format provided for your shipment data (which you can furnish via ASCII file or Excel spreadsheet).
LOGISTICS OPERATIONS ANALYSIS PROGRAM: The LOA Program includes survey and both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of your organization's maturity model and opportunities for improvement, combined with benchmarking and best practice program unique to the industry, and highly referencable from our satisfied clients. The LOA program focuses on transportation, warehousing, or both, depending upon your requirements and interests.
Click the Saving Analysis link for more information on our conducting fast track, comprehensive benefit analyses using your own shipment data on "what if" basis, via our LOA Program.
PILOT PROGRAM: The programs above, including our Planning (Fact Finding) Forum, can serve to identify and refine key system functions and features, their priority, and a phased plan for a Pilot Program, with accompanying scope, budget, schedule, and benefits for your enterprise.
DECISION CONFERENCE: This Pilot Program Plan with Requirements Document will then be presented in a second session, called our Decision Conference, to aid you in determining the final scope, schedule, cost, and benefits of your prospective program as key participant in the Shippers Commonwealth program.
We at Shippers Commonwealth look forward to working with your team on bringing strategic and economic breakthrough opportunities, in servicing the transportation needs of your supply chain improvement program. |
