Shippers Commonwealth Continues Expansion
March 6, 2006 – Richmond VA: Shippers Commonwealth (“ShipComm”), the major TMS provider for both integrated On Demand and licensed transportation automation programs, reported record sales and profit growth again for 2005, with sales up over 70% for 2005 on even higher increase in net earnings. ShipComm is set for over 70% revenue growth again in 2006, with over 72% of this sales increase already pre-committed as firm bookings and recurring revenue.
To support this record growth, the Company continues to invest in “best of breed” personnel and data center resources to continue to provide the highest quality and most responsive services to its customers.
The Company continues to achieve major new sales wins with its reputation as the “sterling” team for highest value logistics solutions delivered on time, defect free, and at lowest landed cost. On the delivery front, ShipComm teams are also highly active with major projects for existing clients which include
- Dedicated fleet enablement for our TMS powering the Sonoco Corporate Transportation Center (CTC), with planned second phase to provide for new Dedicated Fleet Administration module for automated tracking and settlement of dedicated fleet activity against commitments and guarantees. The ShipComm TMS expansion at Sonoco also continues with further business unit and site deployments, data warehouse and freight pay integration among major programs in progress
- Advanced integration and migration of our TMS serving NASC as this client moves to its new JDE E-1 ERP host system replacing legacy system in dynamically communicating with the ShipComm TMS
- Enablement of the Johns Manville Load Builder add-on to its enterprise TMS, with integration and deployment services in managing another TMS expansion program for JM
- Continuing enhancement and support for the expanded capabilities for the Alcoa Mill Products TMS Load Builder program from ShipComm
- Planned rollout of Freight Pay Program and automated inbound manifest programs for three major retailers
- New releases being planned for ShipComm’s Logistics Portal and Shipment Intelligence Center with further advances in capabilities
- Major optimization consulting analyses for US and Canadian clients
- Record sales pipeline for significant incremental new account business, in addition to all-time high in new order bookings
