Johns Manville & ShipComm TMS Open House
June 29, 2006 - Denver CO: (As Featured in Supply Chain Digest – June/July 2006 Editions) Shippers Commonwealth (ShipComm) is pleased to be co-hosting its latest Logistics Benchmarking & Networking Open House event at the Johns Manville (JM) Corporate Load Center on July 19, 2006 in Littleton (metropolitan Denver) Colorado.
JM, the leading building products manufacturer and key part of the Berkshire-Hathaway family of companies, is one of North America’s largest shippers with one of the world’s highest volume centralized and automated Corporate Load Centers (as powered by TMS program as initialized and expanded with ShipComm). ShipComm also has continued to work closely with JM as client since 2002 on launching successful collaborative logistics initiatives (such as with its affiliated Caravan Network program) and in expanding integrated, optimized systems for increased JM cost-benefits in load linking, capacity augmentation, load consolidation and mode shifting.
This July 2006 special event features tour of the automated JM Central Load Center as powered by our TMS program, and case study presentations on JM success story. Key presentations on logistics automation, market environment, and improvement opportunities are being given by JM corporate logistics management (Duane Charbonneau) and ShipComm executives (Sarah Edge), along with special featured speaker (Dan Gilmore, Editor-In-Chief of Supply Chain Digest). The forum also features facilitated benchmarking with logistics management attendees from other key shippers.
