Peebles Launches Shippers Commonwealth TMS
August 10, 2004 - Richmond VA - For Immediate Release: Peebles, the major retail chain in the eastern United States, has launched the comprehensive Transportation Management System (TMS) and Inbound Portal of Shippers Commonwealth, to automate and optimize its freight planning and execution across its supply chain. Peebles has over 17 major stores located throughout the Eastern U.S. It was acquired by Stage Stores, Inc in November 2003, but the chain will continue to operate under the Peebles name (Stage and Peebles stores in the Eastern and Southern US will take on the Peebles brand name.
