Sarah Edge named VP Business Development for Shippers Commonwealth
March 6, 2006 - Charleston SC: Shippers Commonwealth ("ShipComm") is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Edge to Vice President – Business Development. Ms. Edge will be responsible for directing sales and marketing activities for the Company, reporting to Robert Shagawat, the CEO.
Ms. Edge joined ShipComm in January 2003, previously serving as VP – Implementation and Support Services for the Company. She has managed numerous successful implementations of the Company’s Transportation Management System (TMS) programs, as well as doing advanced consulting and participating in Company new business initiatives as key executive for the firm.
Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Edge was Corporate Director of Logistics for Stage Stores, the major retailer which also uses the ShipComm TMS and Logistics Portal systems. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, with ongoing graduate studies at North Carolina State University, and has been spokesperson for the Company at many industry events.
