Jeld-Wen Selects Shippers Commonwealth for TMS Program
May 15, 2006 - Richmond VA: Jeld-Wen, Inc., the major global manufacturer of doors and windows, has selected Shippers Commonwealth (ShipComm) as its Transportation Management System (TMS) provider, as corporate master contract is being signed this week for launch program kickoff now set for May 24, 2006.
This comprehensive program will provide for the full ShipComm TMS solution to be integrated and deployed as end-to-end shipment planning and management system for Jeld-Wen, starting at the company’s Rantoul IL facility, with subsequent multi-site expansion. ShipComm will provide the TMS for Jeld-Wen on a hosted ASP subscription basis, and handle all product implementation, training, systems integration, extensions, and life cycle support. The agreement includes options for additional ShipComm value-added products and extensions as well as additional options for conversion to hosted perpetual license. ShipComm will continue to work directly with Jeld-Wen corporate logistics management in Klamath Falls, OR on this program, while also coordinating with the applicable Jeld-Wen sites and business units.
