Garden Ridge Selects Shippers Commonwealth for TMS Program
October 30, 2006 - Richmond VA/Houston TX: Garden Ridge, the leading retailer offering a chain of super-centers for the best in home décor, has selected Shippers Commonwealth (ShipComm) as its Transportation Management System (TMS) provider, with initial phase “go live” of the new TMS planned for December, 2006.
This state-of-the-art automated transportation planning and management system will launch with initial focus on Garden Ridge supplier inbounds for optimizing cost-efficiency for all freight operations for this rapidly growing retail chain. Garden Ridge has acquired a perpetual license for the ShipComm TMS solution program including its Vendor Logistics Portal, which is being integrated to the company’s current systems with implementation, hosting, and support by ShipComm. ShipComm is also serving as strategic advisor for new carrier sourcing and bid programs to support Garden Ridge growth, in parallel with providing its TMS program.
